CSI Math Activities: Mystery-Based Math Investigations

CSI Math Activities: Mystery-Based Math Investigations for Every Grade Level

CSI math activities turn math practice into a mystery investigation where students solve problems to uncover clues and identify the culprit.

Instead of routine worksheets, students work through six crime scenes. Each correct answer reveals new evidence that helps them determine the suspect, weapon, or location.

These detective-style math investigations are designed for elementary math through Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus.

What are CSI Math Activities?

CSI math activities use a detective-style investigation format. Students solve mathematical problems to uncover clues and solve the case.

Each activity contains six crime scenes. As students solve equations or analyze data, they obtain values that help eliminate suspects and identify the culprit.

This structure creates a goal-driven learning experience where students stay motivated because every problem moves them closer to solving the mystery.
